"Becoming a Guru"
Hey,
I've only got a second - my friends invited me to some fancy New York City fashion show and I think it's going to be pretty cool.
But I got a couple of interesting emails from Sadia, an editor at YouTube, that kicked open the floodgates on our new ppc videos.
Let me explain…
Here's the first email I got from Sadia, an Editor over at YouTube:

I'm Sadia, one of the editors here at YouTube. One of the areas I focus on is the How to DIY section.
This category features videos by users who have all kinds of things to teach the wider YouTube community.
To that end, I wanted to make sure you're aware of our Guru account type. Gurus are what we call YouTubers like you, folks who have special knowledge to share with the world.
We feel that the content of your videos makes your channel perfect for Guru status.

I don't know about all the guru stuff, but we thought it was really cool that the folks over at YouTube were looking out for people trying to build a business at home.
So Larry and I decided to respond, and then a couple of days later we got this news from Sadia:

This email is to let you know that your channel will be featured on the "Welcome to YouTube" page that appears when anyone signs up for a new YouTube account. Your channel will
be one of four spotlighted channels in the Popular Channels section, and it will run for two days, from 23:59PT on 05/10/07 to 23:59PT on 05/12/07.
For this reason, you may see an unusually large jump in the number of people subscribed to your channel; most of these subscribers have just opened their accounts, so they won't have
a lot of videos themselves.
So if you see your subscriber numbers spike in the near future, you can rest assured that it's not a technical glitch or some fishy phenomenon - it just means you have a bunch of new fans
to impress!

Sadia wasn't kidding when she said we would see an 'unusually large jump in the number of people subscribed' to our videos.

Because right now anyone who signs up for a new YouTube account anywhere in the world sees our free training videos, things have gotten pretty crazy.

So how did this all happen?
It turns out that so many people found out about our videos by word-of-mouth that it's actually caused a major enough traffic spike and so much positive buzz that YouTube reached out to us personally.

There's nothing weird about our small but vocal following though. In fact, its refreshing that folks are looking to build new businesses using paid search online–and that folks are willing to share what they are learning with others.
That's why we created these videos, and even though dozens of people have personally thanked me and Larry for these videos, YouTube's new interest helped remind me of how important training like this is.
Make sure to study these videos now, because we obviously can't keep them around forever.
In fact several people have told me that they've benefited from watching the videos again and again…

I enjoyed your videos very much and finds it very helpful especially in helping to shut out the info clutter and laser in to the main point of starting PPC
Your last 3 videos didn't have any volume, I probably don't need the info at the moment since it focus on the advance method and I am not at that stage yet.
Hope to hear more updates from you guys!

You did not fulfill the objective of the TheNewPPC as you indicated in this blog.
Apparently your new friends in La Jolla convinced you they were more worthy of your knowledge and training!

You guys are my heros! I've been the victum of a lot of hype and was blown away by what you offer for free. Please keep it up! I'm dying to know the tracking methods and what tracking software(s) are the right ones. I'll even BUY IT FROM YOU! How's that for a loyal subscriber?

Hello,
I just joined because I saw you guys from DVD #6 of the 7 Fugure Code. I must say that you rock!!
I went trough Pay Per Click Formula and with that and your free info (the eBook and the videos) I'm about to set out on my Pay Per Click business.
Please let me (and all of us suscribed to this blog) when haexaclick goes live.
Currently I'm devoting 2 to 3 hours a day after work and family to make this dream a reality, so if there's hard work to be done and more learning to be had I'm up for it, just say when!!
Also, don't know if all the beta testing is done and or the coaching but if there's any spot left anywhere please be sure to let me know.
Keep up the good work, and I wish the best to everybody and anybody who's committed to make things happen!

These guys are not here to help or guide you… You want to learn the latest and the most cutting edge PPC tactics ( If you don't know what PPC means, you're on the wrong blog, my brother)..
